CAREER COUNSELLING

  • One-to-one sessions and group workshops for professional and

             non-professional new Canadians

  • Exploring career and educational options and setting short and long-term goals

  • Understanding how skills fit into the Canadian workplace

  • Information and Resources on: Licensing, Credential Assessment, Translations and Oaths, Professional Courses, Business Directories, Employment Agencies, English Training, etc.

GROUP JOB SEARCH PROGRAM

In groups and independently, learn and practice how to

  •   Introduce and market yourself professionally
  •   Find companies who need you and your skills
  •   Network for connections in your profession

  •   Complete a successful application package

  •   Conduct a winning interview

JOB SEARCH WORKSHOPS

Career and Job Search Counselling workshops assist clients on their path to meaningful employment in Canada.

  • Bring in educational and work documents from your home country or Canada. Together we will make a plan for your job search.

Centre D’Emploi de YMCA pour les Nouveaux Arrivés

Ce programme aide les résidents permanents et les citoyens Canadiens qui ont écu au Canada moins de 5 ans, qui n’ont pas d’emploi ou qui travaillent à temps partiel et qui cherchent du travail.

Nos services comprennent :

  • L’identification des besoins du client pour trouver un emploi (curriculum vitae, éxpérience du travail au Canada, des conseils d’emploi, etc.).
  • Faire un plan pour guider le client pendant la recherche du travail.
  • Des références à plus de vingt services et programmes d’emploi dans la communauté.
  • Le soutien aux clients pendant la recherche d’emploi.

Aussi, notre centre d’emploi est disponible à tous les nouveaux arrivés pour leurs recherches indépendantes. Les services d’ordinateurs publiques avec internet, l’imprimante, le fax, la photocopieuse, répertoire d’affaires, les vidéos d’emplois et beaucoup de livres sont accessibles pour nos clients.
