Babysitter
Training ®:
(12+ yrs) |
This Ontario Safety League program is designed
to give the babysitter knowledge, assurance and
skills to enable them to protect and care for children
and respond to emergencies. Topics include: child
care, first aid, fire safety & play activities.
Candidates must be 12 years old and achieve a minimum
75% average to receive a certificate.
Fee:
Member - $30.00
Non-Member - $60.00

the basics of training and program design. Upon

The
YMCA has been providing leadership programs for
teens for more than 100 years. Though the
activities may have changed over the course of
time, the goals remain the same. They are
to provide teens with opportunities for leadership
development, personal growth, service to others
and social development. Topics include:
communication, teamwork, problem solving, planning
and organizing, health and safety, philanthropy
and fundraising, group dynamics and volunteerism.
There is an application process for this
program. Inquire with advisors for the application

Newcomer Youth Integration Program ® |
| (6-17 yrs) |
| Immigrant youth ages 6-17 who have come to Canada within the last 2 years have the opportunity to participate in skill building and recreational activities. This program will provide support and education to help youth with the transition to a new community. The sessions will provide opportunities to interact with their peers in fun, social settings. |
