Join Our Team -

Come work for the YMCA!

The YMCA is a friendly and interesting place to work. Employed with our organization, you’ll benefit from and add to the knowledge of a diverse group of co-workers, volunteers and members with different interests and skills.

The Y helps our community. You'll work with an organization that reaches out to many people in Kitchener-Waterloo – each year, over 100,000 people benefit from our varied and diversified programs at over 40 location s throughout the community and we continue to grow. Whether it be from our Child Care, Camp, Immigrant Settlement, International Education, Volunteer Development or Health and Fitness, the Y is here for everyone.

In addition to the “feel good” aspect of working for the KW YMCA, there are also financial benefits. You'll receive competitive wages and, with a minimum hourly commitment, you also receive membership benefits for you and your family. All full-time salaried employees receive comprehensive health benefits and a pension plan.

There are opportunities for everyone's skills and interests. Because the KW YMCA offers so many services and activities, there is a job for everyone. Jobs include:

  • Customer service
  • Fitness instruction
  • Child care and camp
  • Aquatics
  • Maintenance
  • Support services
  • Community program support

The hours are flexible. The Y works with you. The Y is open every day, and both full and part-time employees work a wide range of hours, from early morning to late evening, as well as weekends and holidays. Child care staff work weekdays.

Great training opportunities. The YMCA is a great place for career development. Training opportunities are offered to Y employees to learn new job skills, CPR, fitness instruction, leadership and more!
