Ki-Wa-Y Days

2009 Registration begins January 2

Ki-Wa-Y Days has operated on the north side of the YMCA Paradise Lake site since 1993. The Day Camp sits on 10 acres of rolling hills, playing fields and several wooded areas. Ki-Wa-Y Days has its own picnic shelter and a washhouse area with toilets and handwashing sinks. The site is  close to the main camp facilities, so it’s just a short hike to the lake for canoeing and swimming and to the climbing wall and high ropes course.

Ki-Wa-Y Days focuses on the benefits and the learning opportunities offered by an outdoor experience and we pride ourselves on using our beautiful site to its full potential.

Ki-Wa-Y Days Offers

  • Swimming
  • Landsports
  • Canoeing
  • Climbing Wall
  • Ropes Course
  • Crafts
  • Archery
  • Drama
  • Sleepovers
  • Nature Programs
  • Outdoor Living Skills

Core Program Activities
There are a few program elements that we feel are important to maintaining the traditional aspect of an outdoor camping experience:

  1. high energy games and songs along with an appropriate compliment of quiet games
  2. outdoor living skills and natre appreciation
  3. arts and crafts.

Swimming on Site

Swimming at Paradise Lake is part of the daily schedule. Campers swim at one of two lifeguard supervised swimming areas.

Sleepovers

All weeks feature a cook out , family campfire and sleepover on Thursdays. The sleepover is optional for campers 8-12. We are unable to offer the sleepover to campers 5-7  but we encourage all campers to join us for the cookout and campfire.

Transportation is provided to and from Ki-Wa-Y Days. Bus picks ups are at the A.R.Kaufman Family YMCA and Moses Springer parking lot. Early care is available at 8:00 am and late care is available until 5:30 pm.
